The construction of a new potable water facility required at the northern end of Waikeria Prison to accommodate the rising prison population.   

 The existing potable water system does not have the production capacity or capability to provide potable water to both the current prison facilities and the Waikeria Prison Development of which includes 600 new beds once constructed.  

 This facility will service the prisoner accommodation at the Lower Jail, the Waikeria Prison Development and the surrounding dairy farm operations.   

Works included:  

• Earthworks    
• A potable water treatment plant  
• Water storage reservoir and foundations for the structure  
• 1km network of pipes to supply the prison   

Roles and responsibilities: White Associates provided full quantity surveying services including pre contract, procurement and post contract services.
